We learn in Matthew 2:11, the wise men visited Jesus and Mary, his mother, in a house, not the Inn, where Mary gave birth to him (Luke 2:7). Most Bible scholars believe Jesus was about two years old at the time (Matt 2:16) and no one knows how many wise men came and gave Jesus gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
No one actually knows! Interestingly enough, during the time of Jesus's birth, camels continued to be pack animals in Arabia and those wishing to ride in style, like the wise men, probably rode on horses.
Most biblical scholars agree that Jesus was NOT born on Dec. 25th. Instead, most believe he was born sometime in Sept due to his birth coming after the birth of Jesus's cousin, John the Baptist (see Luke 1.26–27, Luke 1:5, and 1 Chronicles 24.7–19). Either way, remember Grady's wise words, "I think it's important the Jesus was born SOMEWHERE to be our Savior."
